Our issues are the Sanctity of Life, Religious Freedom, and Traditional Marraige.
Sanctity of Life
Of all the important issues that we face, life is at the core of our traditional values. If America does not respect the sanctity of life, the nation is in conflict with its' foundation. The Declaration of Independence says this;"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."
The right of life is not given by man, it is given by God and our founders knew that certain rights were outside of man's jurisdiction. When man takes the matter of life in his own hands, we are left with a nation whose standards allow for murder of unborn citizens because of convenience and call it choice. We have allowed "womens rights" to trump the constitutionally recognized "unalienable rights" of the unborn.
The Christian church must arise and make the Biblical worldview the standard once again for America. The attack on the unborn under the mask of woman's right to choose is nothing more than a thin veil covering the real agenda behind Planned Parenthood. In addition to the injury caused to our society by populating certain minority communities with abortion clincs, to insult the American people by forcing taxpayers to pay for abortions is an outrage. In a secular culture we can expect nothing less from elected officials and judges without a Biblical worldview. It is time for men and women of God to take their place in the high seats of power and bring this country back to traditional values.
This is of particular importance to the Black community. Abortion is the #1 killer of Black Americans and if Black America is going to survive, predatory abortion mills must be shut down. Religious Freedom
From 1788 - 1954 pastors all across America preached sermons that contained endorsements of political candidates. The church was the center of community influence and the community relied on the church to lead them in their Biblical worldview. Pastors spoke freely to their congregations about the good and bad qualities of candidates openly criticizing or endorsing them without the threat of governmental interference. The church was a place of vetting for candidates. Until 1954 the church was the political filter through which candidates had to pass in order to win election. In 1954, then-Senator Lyndon B. Johnson had an axe to grind with a religious group who opposed his views. In order to gain revenge, he forced through an amendment to the IRS code which in essence restricted the rights of free speech of pastors within their own church. Alliance Defense Fund Summary of the “Johnson Amendment” This type of discrimination should never be tolerated when perpetrated against a very specific group of people.
It is our goal to educate pastors and release them from the bondage of the myth of the seperation of church and state. The government must not interfere with the business and direction of the church, but the church must always maintain an active role in the governance of our great nation. Romans 13:4 empowers our elected rulers;"For he is a minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil." God uses government, it only makes good sense to elect those individuals who actually believe in and live for God.
Our founders were not men with secular world views. Quite the contrary, although you will never hear about it in the public schools of today. From Adams to Washington, some of our greatest American founders had a profound reverence and understanding of God's place in America and America's place in God.

Traditional Marriage
The Christian Impact Alliance views homosexuality as a lifestyle of choice, not an immutable physical characteristic which cannot be denied. It is not one's civil right to live a homosexual right, however, it is one's right as a citizen of the United States and a child of God to be treated with respect. Our opposition to the lifestyle should not be confused or twisted to interpreted as being against the individual. Disagreement does not justify disrespect.
The relationship between man and woman and its relative importance to the perpetuation of the human race cannot be disputed. Likewise, it cannot be disputed that God in His infinite wisdom created man and woman with distinct differences as a means of reproduction as well as character definition. The differences between the male and female anatomy and physiology go far beyond the reproductive organs.
Since the 1960's marriage has been under attack in our state legislatures, but nothing like the assault of recent years. The battle lines were drawn and the serious fighting began in 2003. Click to see an overview of the marriage debate by Pew Research Center.
The battle is being fought at the federal level and the state level. Federally, marriage is protected by the Defense of Marrriage Act (DOMA).
On the state level, laws are on the books banning homosexual marriage and other states have passed constitutional amendments defining marriage as one man and one woman. Click to see a state level marrige update by Family Research Council.
