Christian Impact Alliance is NOT affiliated with any political party nor do we have any obligations to a particular political group or party. We are not driven by racial preferences or socio-economic standards. We are Christians. We believe that all Christians have a Biblical responsibility to take part in the process of electing those who will govern us. Proverbs 29:2 "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule the people mourn." As Christians, we are obligated to cast a vote in each election cycle based on a Biblical worldview.

Bill Voelp

Bill Voelp is a native Marylander, married since 1992 with two children. He is an Ordained Deacon in his denomination and holds a degree in Economics. His committment to his family is surpassed only by his committment to the Lord. Bill has been an entrepeneur since high school. His experience has led him into business ventures in several industries.  Bill has been involved for many years in the political arena in areas ranging from issue advocacy to campaign managment.  In his spare time, he coaches his children's sports teams and volunteers time meeting the ongoing needs of his church family.

His vision for the Christian Impact Alliance is at the core of his being; after being involved in several political campaigns for traditional values candidates, he sees the bigger picture and God has given him insights that will promote his values. After years of trying to change the minds of tthe secular powers in place, he has recognized the power of change is resting comfortably inside the Christian church. He believes it is time for the church to arise and become the "salt and light" that Jesus commanded us to be. In doing so, the church will bring much needed change to a lost world and a silent church.

Pastor Rick Bowers

Pastor Rick Bowers along with his wife Sheryle pastor a non-denominational church in Baltimore, MD. Married since 1980 they have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. His education includes a degree in Theology. Rick found himself frustrated with the deteriorating morals of our state and nation and in 2004 got involved in a movement to amend Maryland's constitution to establish the definition of marriage as "One man and one woman."  He served as the chairman of Defend Maryland Marriage,a statewide PAC. In 2005 God led him to enter the race for a seat in the Maryland State House of Delegates. His campaign was a turning point in his life. During this time, Rick began to recognize the disconnect between the church and the political process, but he could not find a scriptural mandate for this seperation. In fact, the more he researched, the more evidence he found to the contrary.

Pastor Rick's vision for CIA is to inspire Christian leaders to stand tall for what they believe and to instruct their congregants to connect their private faith to their public policy. Rick believes that if the Bible based Christian church will take a stand for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, our culture will change.  A Theocracy is not what we need, but we cannot disgard the Godly values upon which this country was founded. We must get back to basics. Rick serves on several boards and works hard to serve his community.

Board of Advisors

Our Board of Advisers is a growing group of professionals committed to God and to the purposes of the Christian Impact Alliance. They have agreed to oversee our activities and input their wisdom when they feel the need. We do not ask them to assist us in raising money, nor are we paying them for their support.
